In 2005, John Wieland was chosen as America's Best Builder by the National Association of Home Builders and BUILDER Magazine.

20,000 Closings
In 2002, John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods celebrated its 20,000th home closing in Atlanta's Chattahoochee Run. It was the lucky homeowners' third John Wieland home.

Design Icon: The New American Home
The 2002 New American Home built by John Wieland Homes and Neighborhood was a trend-setter with a carriage house and "waterfall" swimming pool, sunset terrace and met the highest handicap "visibility" standards for accommodations for a physically handicapped person. It was located in Atlanta's Vinings Estates.

Hitting the Links
John Wieland's first signature golf course neighborhood opened north of Atlanta at Woodmont Golf and Country Club, Georgia's only course designed by renowned course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

National Builder of the Year
In 1994, John Wieland was named National Builder of the Year by Professional Builder Magazine.

The House of the 90's
In 1991, John Wieland built House Beautiful magazine's House of the 90's in the Roswell neighborhood of Inverness. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home was a combination of House Beautiful readers' wishlist of what a "dream house" would include to fit the American lifestyle in the 1990's.

The New American Home
Built specially for the National Association of Home Builders Convention, this home off Azalea Drive in Roswell features an art gallery, owner's suite with two Jacuzzi baths, an in-law or teen suite above the garage and both a caterer's kitchen and family kitchen.

The first ever Design Center was opened in Atlanta making it easy for homebuyers to make interior and exterior selections for their new John Wieland dream home.

The First John Wieland Designer Model Home
The first designer model opened in 1973 and was decorated for $5,000 retail price. Bright yellows and greens were used throughout the home and highlights were plastic and wicker furniture and artificial plants.

The Start of it All
Now one of homebuilding's most iconic names, company founder John Wieland began building in Atlanta in 1970 using a Volkswagen Bug as his office and materials delivery truck.
